Appfil - URL Shortner
(End-to-End Design)

   Business Objective
Appfil.es aims to make digital sharing simple and trustworthy by turning long, complicated URLs into clean, memorable, and meaningful links. Our vision is to become the go-to mobile-first platform for individuals, creators, and businesses—helping them share content effortlessly, build a stronger brand presence, and gain valuable insights through easy-to-understand analytics and personalised link experiences.
   Current Problem Statement
Users still deal with long, messy URLs that are difficult to share, remember, or trust. Most existing tools focus on desktop first, feel disconnected, and don’t work well on mobile—where users actually need them the most. On top of that, businesses miss out on simple ways to customise links, use their branding, or access useful analytics that help them understand their audience.

    After Design Testing with Bloggers

After finalizing the prototype, we conducted usability testing with active bloggers who regularly use URL shorteners to share and track their content. The goal was to evaluate how the redesigned interface impacted task efficiency, engagement, and overall satisfaction.

Participants were asked to shorten, organize, and analyze their blog links using the new design.

Result

The usability testing showed that the new design noticeably improved user performance and satisfaction. Bloggers were able to manage their links 30% faster, interacted more with the dashboard analytics, and felt a greater sense of control over tracking their campaigns.
